May 15, 2025Every Gala fundraiser is a time for the St. Gerard community to look back to give thanks to God for our progress and to look forward to continuously hoping in the Lord. Redemptorist St. Gerard School in Baton Rouge celebrated its fourth annual Gala on March 30. The Gala is our major school fundraiser, and is absolutely essential to educate the hearts and minds of our young students.
This year’s theme was “Hope Upon Hope!” God, the source of Life and Hope, blessed us with perfect weather. With God’s grace, we raised more than $100,000 for our school.This Gala would not be possible without the very generous hearts of our volunteers, donors, parishioners and friends. We give thanks to God for all, especially Bishop Michael Gerard Duca, Mayor- president, Coach Sid Edwards, Provincial Superior Kevin Zubel, and Deadra James Mackie RHS 78, Keynote Speaker) for supporting the mission at St. Gerard’s.
Last year, we were able to put a new roof on our gym and cafeteria, air condition, paint and repair the gym, renovate bathrooms, and add white boards and computers to each classroom. This year we are focusing on the academic excellence and growth of students.We are forever grateful for the tireless efforts of so many; we would not be able to operate our school without your generous gifts of time, talent, and treasure. Thank you to all for your great love and support of our St. Gerard’s mission.
