The vocation team of the province hosted several vocation campaigns and events for the month of January.

MONTREAL

On January 19, Frs. Jean-Carlo François and Ivan Dzhur visited St. Jude Roman Catholic parish in Montreal where they concelebrated Sunday Eucharist with its pastor Fr. Maurice Belemsigri and spoke about vocation and the Redemptorist ministry to the parish community, sparking interesting conversation. The next day, they visited Newman Center at McGill University, where they concelebrated Mass for students and engaged in meaningful conversations that hopefully will bear fruit of closer co-operation.

TORONTO

On January 23, we hosted a “Come and See Evening” at St. Patrick’s, Toronto. This was one of the two vocation events we planned in Toronto. Three young men – Samuel, Benoit, and Vincent joined and spent time with us and the Redemptorist community of Toronto in prayer, reflection, and learning about the Redemptorists.

GRANDE PRAIRIE

Finally, on January 24, our Grand Prairie community in Alberta hosted a “Come and See Evening” where we met three young men from our parish, Joseph, Jon and Gavriel, who were interested in learning more about the Redemptorists.

They came to pray and share dinner with the community and join local Redemptorist associates who shared some things about vocation and discernment in general. Over the weekend, Fr. Alfredo Medina met with two more young men from the parish who were interested in learning more about us and our mission.

Please continue to pray for the Redemptorist Vocation ministry so that the small seeds we had planted may bear good fruit in due time.

L’équipe des vocations de la Province a organisé plusieurs campagnes et événements vocationnels au cours du mois de janvier.

MONTRÉAL

Le 19 janvier, les Pères Jean-Carlo François et Ivan Dzhur ont visité la par-oisse catholique romaine St-Jude à Montréal où ils ont concélébré l’Eucharistie dominicale avec le curé, le Père Maurice Belemsigri, et ont parlé de la vocation et du ministère rédemptoriste à la communauté paroissiale, ce qui a suscité des conversations intéressantes.

Le lendemain, ils ont visité le Centre Newman de l’Université McGill,

où ils ont concélébré la messe pour les étudiants et engagé des conversations significatives qui, nous l’espérons, porteront les fruits d’une coopération plus étroite.

TORONTO

Le 23 janvier, nous avons organisé une soirée « Venez et Voyez » à l’église Saint-Patrick de Toronto. Il s’agissait de l’un des deux événements vocationnels que nous avions prévus à Toronto.

Trois jeunes hommes - Samuel, Benoît et Vincent - se sont joints à nous et ont passé du temps avec nous et la communauté Rédemptoriste de Toronto dans la prière, la réflexion et l’apprentissage des Rédemptoristes.

GRANDE PRAIRIE

Finalement, le 24 janvier, notre communauté de Grand Prairie en Alberta a organisé une soirée « Venez et voyez » où nous avons rencontré trois jeunes hommes de notre paroisse, Joseph, Jon et Gavriel, qui étaient intéressés à en apprendre davantage sur les Rédemptoristes.

Ils sont venus prier et partager un dîner avec la communauté et rejoindre les associés rédemptoristes locaux qui ont partagé des choses sur la vocation et le discernement en général.

Au cours de la fin de semaine, le Père Alfredo Medina a rencontré deux autres jeunes hommes de la paroisse qui souhaitaient en savoir plus sur nous et notre mission.
