Young Adult Ministry in San Antonio

February 12, 2025Redeemed Circle (RC), the Young Adult Ministry at St. Gerard Catholic Church in San Antonio, was inspired by St. Clement Mary Hofbauer’s ministry with young people in the 1800s. Our mission is to foster a sense of belonging and community, enabling young individuals to explore their relationships with Christ, deepen their faith, and become equipped to serve Him in mission.The establishment of this ministry began in the summer of 2024 with three Core Team members leaders dedicated to planning, executing, and evaluating events. We rolled out a series of events in September, including round-table discussions, community building social events, and volunteer service opportunities.
Currently, we have approximately 10-12 regular members. As we look ahead to the spring semester, we are planning several events, including Eucharistic Adoration for our deanery and a service project focused on supporting the poor and homeless. Fr. Thanh Nguyen, pastor, also hopes to involve the young adults in the parish. He is encouraging them to participate in different ministries such as serving as lectors, ushers and Eucharistic ministers.
