The Liguori foundation of Redemptoristines was officially established on April 28, 1960. More than 1,000 people attended the dedication ceremony for the monastery in October of 1962.
The original Perpetual Help icon, upon returning to the church of St. Alphonsus, was enthroned over the high altar, in a resplendent shrine-niche especially constructed for it.
Participants include members of the Ordinary and Vice Provincial Councils and Vocals of the Baltimore Province, Denver Province, Province of Mexico, Province of Canada and the Extra-Patriam Vice Province, as well as delegated Partners in Mission (PIM).
Fr. Frank professed temporary vows on August 2, 1958 and perpetual vows on September 2, 1961. He was ordained to the priesthood on July 2, 1963 – shortly after Vatican II was initiated.
This community is called the powerhouse of prayers. Every day, prayer requests are received and placed in the basket in front of Our Mother of Perpetual Help.
